Advice from our coin experts

A telephone call is the easiest way to get information quickly. If you call our coin experts, they will answer any questions you have about your coins or your collection. It is often possible to determine over the phone whether it is worth your while paying a visit to our offices. All you have to do is describe briefly to our colleagues what material you have and how large your collection is. You will then receive expert advice right away – and free of charge.

Why not simply come along to our auction house in Düsseldorf with your coins, banknotes or medals? Needless to say, estimates and advice given in our offices are free of charge.

Before coming to our offices, it is usually a good idea to make an appointment – these can generally be made from Monday to Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. This means that one of our coin experts will be free to meet you right away. Appointments can be arranged by calling +49 (0)211 - 550 44-18.

Our offices are located in the heart of Düsseldorf, not far from the Central Train Station. This means that we can also be reached very easily with public transport. Further information on how to find our offices is available here.

If you are coming by car and have a lot of stamps or coins to carry, our staff will be happy to help you unload them and take them into our offices. Boxes and roller boards are available if required.

Depending on the value determined by our coin experts, we can make you an offer to purchase your coins or let you know the starting price for an auction. Rest assured that we will recommend the most appropriate way to sell your collection.

You can send our coin experts photos or scans of your coins, medals, etc. in an e-mail. To do so, simply scan in the coins or take a few photos of them with a digital camera and send the photos and/or scans as an attachment to the e-mail. We are usually able to respond within just a few hours. Please include your telephone number in the e-mail so that we can call you back as soon as possible to provide you with expert advice.

Please send your material in a package or by registered letter. Our coin experts will examine and evaluate the specimens and then contact you to arrange a follow-up meeting to advise you further. It can then be discussed on the telephone whether the coins can be included in an auction. Our experts will provide you with a professional market assessment. If your material is suitable for auction, we can store it directly in our offices. Of course, we can return the material to you if preferred.

We would be happy to assume the costs for sending your material with full insurance cover. Please be sure to call us first so that we can explain to you how this is done.

If it is not possible for you to come to the auction house in person or if you have an particularly large collection of coins, there is always the option of arranging a house visit. Our coin experts regularly travel around Germany and other European countries for this purpose. In this case, our experts will then arrange to come to your house and examine your material there. Following this, we can transport the material with full insurance cover.
However, it is best to clarify by telephone beforehand whether a house visit is possible. Please feel free to call us to do so. You will be given advice during the first contact and then further information for a house visit
